The Stronger singer, Kelly Clarkson announced her divorce filing with her manager husband Brandon Blackstock, in mid-2020. The news was shocking as the seemingly adorable duo has made a beautiful family with four children: Savannah, Seth, River, and Remington.

Kelly and Brandon met at the Superbowl where both Kelly and Brandon’s client Blake Shelton was set to perform – and it was love at first sight for the two!
Brandon was under the impression that Kelly hated him since she was playing hard to get. When they were finally done being coy, the chemistry was instant! Was their first date really a bad omen, though, like Kelly said back then?
It fell on the day her idol, Whitney Houston, died! They still stuck through and had a surprise wedding ceremony, back in fall, 2013.
Fast forward to 2020, the couple has been leading increasingly hectic lives and even went through a major life overhaul with their move from Nashville, Tennessee, to the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Clarkson said how the idea was her husband’s as he wanted her to be closer to her work in LA.

The change in scenery, and being able to work non-stop, must have taken a silent toll on the duo as well.
The Grammy winner even shared how great they’re with handling lots of ‘me time.’ But maybe it went overboard? Kelly also stated how Brandon’s always been working in his own office ever since the shift.
It’s no wonder that Kelly has been crazy busy the past year too, with her immense success as a coach on The Voice and launching her very own, The Kelly Clarkson Show last September. The divorce still comes as a shock to her fans as the songstress has been sharing their rustic ranch life while in quarantine-mode on her social media.

The clan spent the lockdown in sunny Montana, and all seemed great with the lovely family. Brandon’s sweet attempt at a cute video of the kiddos singing Happy Birthday for Kelly took the internet by storm just this April!
His message saying that he loves her more than she’ll ever know tugged at our heartstrings.
Here’s hoping the divorce doesn’t end up ugly, and they are able to stay amicable in days to come. After all, we’d love to see them get along as amazingly as we saw exes Bruce Willis and Demi Moore this quarantine!
