“The Beatles Anthology” is making a bold comeback this fall, and it is not just a polished rehash of the old stuff. The iconic series has been fully restored and remastered in high definition, ready to hit Disney+ on November 26, 2025. That is Thanksgiving week, which feels like the perfect time to binge-watch Beatles history with family or fellow fans.

The original 8-episode series, first released in the ’90s, has been cleaned up with sharp visuals and fresh audio mixes by Giles Martin.

It is crisper, clearer, and just sounds better.

A New Episode That Changes the Game

There is a new ninth episode. This surprise addition pulls from behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George, and Ringo working on the original “Anthology” between 1994 and 1995. That is right, never-before-seen clips of them creating and collaborating, just a few decades after their global takeover. It is raw, real, and totally new to fans.

The ninth episode gives rare insight into how the band tried to revisit and reshape their story while dealing with the absence of John Lennon.

Beatles / IG / Apple Corps teamed up with Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films and Park Road Post to oversee the restoration. They brought in the same level of care and tech used in Jackson’s “Get Back” docuseries.

That means this updated “The Beatles Anthology” keeps its soul, but now it pops on modern screens.

The audio work also stands out. Giles Martin didn’t just polish old sounds. He treated the tracks with respect, making them sing in ways that weren’t possible when the original series aired. Every vocal and guitar riff feels more alive.

“Anthology 4” Brings the Soundtrack Into 2025

And then there is the music. A whole new collection, “Anthology 4,” drops just before the series does. It is packed with 13 previously unreleased tracks, plus some rare gems and updated classics. Think of it as the final piece in the Beatles archival puzzle, or at least the newest one.

The standout tracks? Jeff Lynne, who worked on the originals back in the ‘90s, has reworked “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” using today’s de-mixing tech to bring John Lennon’s voice forward with stunning clarity.

The full music box set lands on November 21, 2025. That is five days before the docuseries returns. It will be available in every format you can imagine: 12-LP vinyl, 8-CD, and digital.

Beatles / IG / “Now and Then,” the 2023 Beatles single made using Lennon’s old demo and finished by Paul and Ringo, is also included.

It rounds out the emotional arc that began with “Free as a Bird” all those years ago. These three tracks tell a story of a connection that keeps looping back.

Book Reissue and Bonus Drops

Oh, and if you are more of a reader, good news. “The Beatles Anthology” book is also coming back in a 25th-anniversary softcover edition. It drops on October 14, 2025. While it doesn’t add anything new, it brings back the full story, loaded with interviews, photos, and the band’s own voices telling it straight.

The book still holds up. It is like a time capsule from 2000, now easier to get your hands on. It is the perfect companion for the updated doc and the new music.

If you need a teaser, the new mix of “Free as a Bird” came out on August 21. It gives fans a preview of what the rest of the set will sound like. The video has also been fully restored in 4K.

All in, the complete “The Beatles Anthology” music collection now spans 191 tracks. “Anthology 4” adds 36 more, some pulled from previous deluxe editions like “Abbey Road” and “The White Album.” It is a deep cut into sessions and songs that shaped the band’s legacy.
